"Sh*t Is As Dark As It's Been, Nothing Has Gone As You Predicted"

I loved this book!!!!

Now for those of you who have read both "The Coldest Winter Ever" and "No Disrespect" you know that Sister Souljah is a brilliant author.

I was so impressed by the subtle way she made you look within yourself, and really take notice of your own personal values and morals. It made me realize how comfortable our society is with self hate, lack of respect for women, and above all else, lack of REAL LOVE!!

A lot of people thought this was "The Coldest Winter Ever" prequel. Its not!

Yes, this is a unique love story. Yes, it's a must read.

Trust me!

Here's one of my favorite excerpts.

In this part of the book, Midnight is frustrated because of the obstacles he's facing while trying to secure his love. His mother tells him:

"If you go outside, you can find a thousand stones on the ground. They are lying around everywhere. You can just pick any one of them up anytime and put it right into your pocket, or throw it back onto the ground. Or do whatever you like with it. It has no value, so no one cares. But when a stone is a precious jewel, it is surrounded and protected. You'll have to work very hard to earn it and even harder to keep it for yourself."

I honestly feel like men don't believe they have to work to earn a woman's affection anymore... so they don't!! This makes me sad because it seems like the value and respect for women falls a notch with each generation.

Women we have to stop settling and force these men to step it up like ..."Oh you say you want me hun? Oh okay, well there's dragons to be slayed and wild game to be hunted and killed. After you finish all that, you know, we might be able to work something out."

HaHaHa!!

Im kidding, but yall get the point:)
