Paparazzi Gone Get You One Way Or The Other

I've been out of town so much lately I almost forgot why I leave so often....but surely I can count a few middle age drunkies to remind me...

Although this isn't a fair example of the quality of men we have here, this is a very good example of the foolishness I deal with whenever I DO decide to go out.


So as I'm on the dance floor watching my girl Tiff show everybody what Beyonce was talking about when she made the song DIVA, I see a flashing light. I was really feelin' the music so I almost ignored it, but then it flashed again. So I turn to see my friend Deanna pointing at some fool snapping pictures of us with his phone.

I confronted him and he seemed to think that it was perfectly fine to just snap pictures of people u dont even know like the nigga is on the TMZ payroll or something. So I took my camera out and shot his ass(after making sure all pics that may have featured me were deleted)!!







After doing so, I immediately regretted that impulsive decision for two reasons...

1st- This nigga prolly thought I was flirting wit his ol' dirty behind so he might try this stunt next weekend with a different girl.

2nd- This made his friend think it was some sort of homeless drunken photoshoot so he started posing and cheezin'! So me,not wanting to hurt his feelings, was forced to shoot his ass too!!





Ladies we gotta be careful these days. You'll go out thinkn you're having a nice little girls night out and end up on some online social site... like my aunt Deanna would say "I aint goin'!"

I mean Fu*k I look like on the myspace page of one of these bums???

Yea I dont know either, cuz its something you wont see.

Gucci Think I Love Him

Now please understand that we had to drive 1hr to some strange town with a population of 3000 to see miss Nicki Minaj...Gucci was also supposed to be in attendance, but Nicki was the driving force behind my trip.



Unfortunately, Nicki was a no show, so I decided to make the best out of what I was left with...

The show was supposed to start at 8pm. By 12am people started getting restless, angry, and some people were just downright tired!!




Well, at about 2am when it seemed like people were about to pass out from pure exhaustion, Gucci and OJ the Juice finally came out!!



Fortunately, he didn't disappoint me(as we've discussed earlier...Gucci is my guilty pleasure). Actually, I was so close I felt like he was performing for me personally.

Is My Imagination Running Too Far?

Today I sat back and thought about the process in which we fall in love, mainly focusing on the beginning stages. As I let D'Angelo tell me all about his dreaming eyes leading him into a fool's paradise. I started to think of how many times my own imagination tricked me into a romantic illusion. I started thinking about my current interest, I then dissected what I like most and least about him. When I finished, the first thing I discovered was how intense my imagination was. And how much my desire for this person was mainly manifested inside my own personal ideological fairy tale.

Because I know so little about this person, there's plenty of room for me to fill in my own blanks, but how healthy could this possibly be? Me painting him as the picture perfect man, he'll surely disappoint me. There will surely be a moment of clarity after I'm years deep in the relationship where I ask the ever so common "what did I ever see in this man?" and honestly not know the answer.

Until then though, I'll fall asleep on cloud 9 and let him be the cherry in my chocolate covered dream:)

I was so impressed by the subtle way she made you look within yourself, and really take notice of your own personal values and morals. It made me realize how comfortable our society is with self hate, lack of respect for women, and above all else, lack of REAL LOVE!!

A lot of people thought this was "The Coldest Winter Ever" prequel. Its not!

Yes, this is a unique love story. Yes, it's a must read.

Here's one of my favorite excerpts.


In this part of the book, Midnight is frustrated because of the obstacles he's facing while trying to secure his love. His mother tells him:

I honestly feel like men don't believe they have to work to earn a woman's affection anymore... so they don't!! This makes me sad because it seems like the value and respect for women falls a notch with each generation.

Ramil Celestin Feb 1, 1986- June 1, 2009

A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in a possible armed robbery early Monday on the Southwest Side.

The man was in the 3700 block of West 79th Street about 4:15 a.m. when he was shot, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

Ramil Celestin, of 7353 N. Sheridan Rd., was pronounced on the scene at 8 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being investigated, but based on preliminary information, Celestin was shot during a possible armed robbery, Mirabelli said.

My Brother and I were just talking about how bad Chicago is, in relation to gun violence. The numbers are crazy. There were a total of 7 deaths within 24 hrs that weekend. The shootings occurred between 6:15 a.m. Saturday and just before 6 a.m. Sunday. All 7 were men between the ages of 20-30.

My friend and I were sitting back a few nights ago talking about life, then the inevitable happened. He asked me, "have u ever been in love?"


So me, trying to be as honest as i could be, had to take a few minutes to think. See the Virgo in me causes me to over analyze everything, but him being the man he is,sat back and patiently waited for me to reply. Now I've been asked that question many times before, but its something about the way he asked me that forced me to actually think about the answer. Before I could respond though, I had to be sure I fully understood what he was asking me. The desire to dig a little deeper had me playing intergrogator, so i questioned... "When you say "love", what are you talking about?"



Now some of you would have looked at me like i was crazy, thinking the question was self explanatory, but he understood exactly what i meant.

So, I laid back in my bed. With my eyes on the ceiling, I listened to what this man had to say.

He said:

"I understand that as humans we are selfish and self absorbed by nature. We walk around with our main focus being ourselves. We're constantly worrying about OUR career choices, what kind of car WE drive, how beautiful WE are, and lately, how much swag WE have."

After he finished speaking, I no longer felt the need to answer his question.

I want to spend my next few posts talking bout relationship issues. These are the things that me and my friends sit back and talk about that get my brain waves flowing. So, I figured what better way to get into the topic of relationships, than to talk about seduction...the fire that starts almost all romantic flames.




Now when I say seduction, I bet most of your minds are going straight towards SEX.Well, i guess that naturally comes with the territory, but when I speak of seduction, I'm talking about all the things that lead up to a sexual attraction. I'm talking a power that captivates all of your senses and makes you remember and embrace being a woman/man.

With that being said, there are two sides to the complex art of seduction. There's the seducer and the seduced.


The seduced, are what I refer to as the victim or prey of the seducer. This is the person who is at the receiving end of the seducer's meticulously sought out conquest. An overtly insecure person makes for the perfect victim. They are oftentimes unsure about themselves, so it makes it easier for someone to come in and tell them not only who they are, but also what they want, and how and where they can find it. This is the person who is looking for self validation. The seducer has been granted the talent of detecting what type of validation the seduced is seeking and is able to serve their victim's dreams up on a "too good to be true" silver platter.


The seducer has already sought the seduced out, consciencely observing every insecurity, gathering enough information to determine their game plan before actually making an official, first encounter. They not only examine what the seduced seeks in a potential partner, but also what he/she may lack in their journey of becoming a "fulfilled" person(I'm talking about the person the seduced seeks to become). The seducer takes notice to the things the seduced may believe "complete" him/her and they possess the ability to manipulate that person into believing that they are the only one with the qualities needed to fill that void.

When they have part down...that's when they attack!!!!

Ok now, I know everything I just said may sound mean and evil natured, but not all seduction is malevolent. In fact, most of it is done with a positive purpose...I'll get into that later tho.
